What Has Changed: This hike has been shortened to 2-2/12 miles to fit our time constraints. Poles are encouraged for steep sections
More Information: We will still meet at 8am for the hike and leave center at 8:15
Variation: We will still view mines shafts etc. remember to bring your lunch
Highlights: Panoramic views of the Ortiz and Sandia mountains; mineral spring; historical mines. Possible guided tour by Park Ranger.
Cautions: Mines are deep but sturdy railings around openings; some steep sections; bring trekking poles.

Sign up/Pay: Signup starts 14 days before the day of the hike. Call the center at 505-767-5999 to sign up and reserve a seat. Hikes are open to all 50+ Senior Center members. If, after making a reservation, you cannot attend the hike please call and cancel so that other hikers can participate.

For the safety and enjoyment of all hikers it is important that you only attend hikes within your ability.
