Very Important

Read 2020 Snow Activity Registration to make sure you get to participate in the activities. A registration form is on page 12 of the new catalog. ALL activities/trips leave from the Palo Duro Sports and Fitness Center, 3351 Monroe NE.

General Information

The winter snow program is run by the 50+ Sports and Fitness Program, City of Albuquerque, Department of Senior Affairs. Activities include Alpine/Downhill and Nordic/Cross-country skiing, Snowshoeing, Beginner Snowshoe plus Half Day Snowshoeing. We have it on our website as a service for the large number of our hikers who also enjoy snow activities.

All snow activities are totally dependent on the snow conditions. Therefore, destinations are not known before the day of the trip and trips may be cancelled due to weather.

Available at PD-FIT are Gear Lists: “What to bring for cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, etc.”

Details about these trips and more can be found at Palo Duro Fitness Center and in the “50+ Sports & Fitness Activities Catalog,” published in the Albuquerque Journal and available at all the Senior Centers, Senior Fitness Centers, and Multi-generational Centers in Albuquerque.

Helpful Hints
