Report:
11 hikers trekked the modified route on a very sunny, pleasant day. We parked at an alternate location, the original parking area not being accessible. Hiking along the berm, we saw Canada geese, Sandhill Cranes, two deer, and several horses including a miniature one. Turning back at the waypoint named stump (it’s actually now a log), we entered the Bosque, looping back toward the berm along the ditch. We stopped for a snack before returning to the van. We then stopped at the visitor center for a brief visit. We arrived back at the Center at approx. 1 pm. We logged 6 miles total. Thank you Sunita for driving.
