Hi subscriber,

We want to make sure you know about our new Ad-Hoc hike sign-up procedures. We’re doing frequent informal hikes as a transition until the centers fully open up with vans and our usual programming. The hikes are for our vaccinated members, and we’re carpooling as much as possible to avoid leaving too much of a carbon footprint with individual cars. We’re also doing more locations closer to home. Some recent hikes have been Tecolote - Balsam Glade - Capulin, San Antonio Canyon Trail, a number of bosque walks, and 10K South - Crest. You can read the hike reports from our Ad-Hoc hikes by logging in, going to the Hikes menu tab, then clicking on "Ad-Hoc Hike Reports List." This is a good way to see your old friends, meet newcomers to ABQ, and get back into practice as things begin to open up.

It’s really easy to sign up online: (1) log into the website, (2) under the Hikes tab, go to Ad- Hoc Hikes Sign Up, (3) see what’s available and sign up. The software already has your info mostly memorized. If your problem is that you've never been able to set your password so you can't log in, let us know by sending a "Contact Us" under the Communications tab and we'll arrange some help for you.

There is no formal schedule, so check on Wednesdays and Sundays evenings (or sometimes the next morning) to see if anything new has been posted. Hike leaders -- we would love to have your participation in these events. It’s also very simple to choose and post a hike you would like to lead. It can be one of our standard hikes or something else you'd like to do. Just fill out the form "Submit Ad-Hoc Hike" under the Admin menu tab.
See you soon!
