Variation: Highly recommend poles/will be walking on uneven river bottom

Highlights: This high-altitude route showcases some of the most iconic terrain in the Sandia Mountains. We will traverse the forested ridgeline before breaking out into the spectacular, panoramic views near the upper tram terminal. From there, we drop down the rugged La Luz trail to a scenic saddle.

Cautions: Why It Is Challenging

Sign up/Pay: Sign up required, call 505-767-5959. Can sign-up 13 days before scheduled hike. Must Show Current Membership Card before signing Release Form on hike day. Those without their card will be turned away. Please call the center if you need to cancel so others on the wait list can go. There are NO LONGER transportation fees.
